Welcome in Pinerolo, Olympic city!

Dear visitor, welcome in the website of the town of Pinerolo!

Pinerolo, 35.000 inhabitants, lies at the entrance to the Chisone Valley, with the Cozie Alps rising behind it.

The city hosted the men's and women's curling tournaments in the last Winter Olympic Games (Torino 2006) and in the 23rd Winter Universiade (2007).

For visitors, Pinerolo has a full calendar of interesting cultural events and fascinating museums like the Italian Cavalry Museum (Museum dell’Arma della Cavalleria). Or they can stroll along the streets of the city centre under the three kilometres of covered arcades and visit the historic San Donato cathedral and Palazzo Vittone. But no-one should leave Pinerolo without sampling a slice of Galup panettone, the city’s almond topped version of the national Christmas cake.
